The guest house Windegg with it's unique hillside situation directely above the town of Hintertux features a panoramic view of the Tuxer Alps and the Hintertuxer Glacier.

The town centre with it's numerous restaurants, sport shops, a local grocery store and the bus stop of the ski bus (free of charge)  is within walking distance.

In summer, there is a free bus service between Hintertux and Finkenberg which will get you to your starting point for all hiking trips. The network of hiking trails in the area is 350 km long and you can start various routes directly at the house "Windegg".

Our house is also very popular among mountainbikers on their way from Südtirol - Schmirn to the Tuxerjochhaus. 

The valley station of the Hintertuxer Gletscherbahn is situated only 1 km from the house Windegg.

With good snow conditions it is often possible to ski right to the house's doorstep! 

A free shuttle service, which departs at the bus stop in the town centre, takes you to all ski resorts in the Zillertal.
